12-person team

A full-length adventure map with nonlinear elemental dungeons, an extensive tutorial opening, contextual voice-over guidance, modular dungeon systems, and a multi-stage finale.

The Goal

Leadership wanted a large, fully featured adventure product in an aggressive timeframe. The work required careful scoping, reusable systems, clear task breakdowns, and enough player guidance to keep a large nonlinear experience readable.

The Execution

– Outlined core player flow and helped shape the project into a coherent adventure structure.
– Built reusable systems for rune abilities, zone triggers, contextual VO sequencing, dungeon completion scenes, custom spawning, and entity/block instancing in difficult world-loading conditions.
– Created a reliable reset workflow that let the team iterate on a large scripted experience far more quickly.
– Wrote roughly 80 lines of contextual protagonist dialogue used for tutorials, dungeon guidance, progression feedback, and final-boss encouragement.
– Reviewed, playtested, and guided implementation work across the team to keep the experience consistent and shippable.

The Results

– Released commercial product.
– Strong flagship case study for technical design and indie leadership positioning.
– Recommended place for embedded screenshots, short GIFs, and a few system diagrams.
