10-person team

A systems-heavy project built around a finite library of dragon assets, reframed into an elemental evolution loop that felt much broader to players than the underlying asset count alone would suggest.

The Goal

The project began with many dragon assets but no clear gameplay structure. The challenge was to create a player-facing loop that made the existing asset set feel rich, legible, and rewarding.

The Execution

– Designed a five-element branching structure that produced 25 meaningful dragon outcomes while keeping choices understandable.
– Built the underlying combination framework and attack logic to incorporate multiple elemental identities at once.
– Directed a cross-functional team toward a coherent gameplay fantasy rather than simple asset repackaging.

The Results

– Released commercial product.
– Strong portfolio piece for systems-heavy indie roles.
